Recoil Jacket Waxed Cotton Hunter Green

New for AW26 is the Recoil Jacket, the latest addition to our waxed outerwear range and a piece we've termed the more aggressive younger sibling of the Country Coat. A set in sleeve allows for the addition of an oversized suede recoil patch, which slides from the chest over the wearers shoulder blade, pointing to the oversized storm flap and dramatic cinch waist. Presented with three large snap pockets in a slightly boxy fit, to give added presence to this more utilitarian, casual silhouette. 

Smart enough to combine with soft tailoring but with enough design features to stand alone as a casual piece, our wax jackets remain the flag bearer for characterful but understated Autumnal and Winter wear.

The cloth is a blend of 20% recycled yarns stripped from discarded denim and traditional cotton, enabling us to give the depth and texture one would expect of the waxed garments of yesteryear to contemporary pieces. Woven and waxed in the UK with a rich hunter green tone, the fabric offers excellent protection against wind and rain. The jacket will bloom with patina and a worn-in look over time, while the suede collar and giant throat latch frame the wearers face.

Constructed just outside of Venice, a corduroy strip inside the garment will prevent the waxed fabric from touching clothing worn underneath. Made in Italy, lined with tonal corduroy and our house check, a thick cotton twill made up of navy, green and soft red tones.
